Our items are shipped via USPS. 
At checkout you can choose from the following options within the US: 

- USPS Ground Advantage $7 (NOT insured, Saffron Creations is not responsible for missing/damaged

- USPS Priority, Insured $10 (includes protection from missing/damaged packages). 

International shipping costs
a flat rate of $20 and does not include insurance. Saffron Creations is
not responsible for missing/damaged international packages. If you’d
like to purchase insurance for your international package, please email

Tariffs: Please know that we are doing our best to keep up with the constantly changes tariffs across countries around the world. For the moment, we will continue to ship internationally, but as the customer, you may be responsible
for paying required tariffs upon delivery.

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your jewelry, you may return it within 14 days of receiving it. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. The returned item may be exchanged for a full refund (minus shipping) or exchanged for another item. No returns are accepted on custom orders.

Saffron Creations does not charge sales tax on orders placed outside the state of Pennsylvania. Orders placed within the state of Pennsylvania will be charged 8% sales tax (6% Pennsylvania sales tax and 2% Philadelphia sales tax). Based on the state of Pennsylvania's origin-based tax laws, Saffron Creations is required to charge Philadelphia's tax rate because we are based in Philadelphia.

All earrings are made with either sterling silver or 14k gold filled
hooks. Necklace chains are nickel free brass or nickel free plated
brass.

Saffron Creations' jewelry is made from actual vintage tins, tray and canisters that were once used as everyday household items. You may find variances in the artwork such as tiny scratches and dings.

Every piece is essentially one-of-a-kind and the pattern placement on the jewelry you receive may look different from the website photo. If this is an issue for you, please read product descriptions carefully. It will specify "pattern placement may vary" if this is the case.

Yes! We will make custom jewelry with a tin from our collection or with a
tin of your own. Custom orders are 25% more than our usual jewelry style prices. For instance, a pair of simple Teardrop Earrings is typically $36. A custom pair of Teardrop Earrings is $45. If you want a completely custom designed style that we haven't made before, prices will vary.

We chose the name Saffron Creations because herbs and spices, like saffron, used to be packaged in tins. We also love to use the bold, golden color in our branding!

Our vintage tins are acquired from many different sources:

-thrift and antique stores
-estate sales
-websites like EBay and Etsy

But our favorite vintage tin sources are local resellers and fellow thrifting friends that are always on the lookout for us!
